Not that I'm partial to the odd slice of cake but there is NOTHING like the smell of baking bread, or the taste of hot bread with a slathering of butter on it....<drool>
Since been shown that I can make a loaf of bread in 1.5minutes in my Thermie I've been HOOKED!

I also made some Pesto bread, dropped a couple of handfuls of fresh basil leaves in while it was kneeding. It had a beautful green fleck thru the bread and tasted heavenly! Hence there was no photo, it was eaten far too quickly :)
Am toying with the idea of making a sourdough starter...but I know it means I'll be making AND EATING so much more bread if I do....but is there any bread that tastes better than a sourdough?
Do you have a favourite bread to make?
I'll have a slice of all of them please - they look amazing!! And no, there is no such thing as too heavy handed with cheese :)
ReplyDeleteI have tried making a sourdough starter, sadly with not much success. Am thinking I might just have to buy one - there's a sourdough bakery up here in Newy that sells starter which is supposed to be very excellent. Let me know how you go. x
Good question although it's hard for me to choose one! Although I love cake I also love baking bread (that smell and also it is the perfect vehicle for butter :P ).
